Toya’s mother and Toya found the gown in their attic - it had been donated to them years ago. The gown fit pretty well on the first try. She wanted to make the dress strapless with a dipped back. I patterned and made an inner bodice with boning, removed the top and sleeves and used the pieces to trickle the lace around the back of the gown to frame the new bodice shape. I fluffed out the skirt with a few layers of gathered tulle.
